Class Dojo

The third grade teachers will be using a classroom management tool called ClassDojo this year. ClassDojo is a web based program which allows teachers to track students’ behaviors (positive AND negative) easily and efficiently. The program is based on points, and students can be given positive points for things such as being respectful, responsible, or safe. On the other hand, notification will be given if students are not respectful, irresponsible, or unsafe.

The students will be added to the Dojo monitoring system. A letter will be sent home with an attached parent access code so that you can log on to the website, https://home.classdojo.com/#!/signup. On the site, you will be able to see how many points your child has, which positive behaviors were noted, and which negative behaviors he/she needs to work on.

One of the greatest features of ClassDojo is that it allows parental access to this information daily and it sends you a “behavior and skills report” every Friday by e-mail.  All you need to do is use the parent access code to get signed up. Our hope is that this will help you monitor the progress of your child’s behavior on a week-to-week basis.
Please contact us if you have any questions!
